Saw a guy in Portland build his whole shed studio with a $90 Amazon fan and a dryer vent, and it actually worked
He cut a 4 inch hole in the wall, ran flex duct from a cheap inline fan to a louvered vent, and his 10x12 space stays 74 degrees even on 90 degree afternoons. I always figured you needed a real mini split or nothing. Anyone else running a budget exhaust setup like this, and how did it hold up through a full summer?

You can take it a step further and add a second vent down low on the opposite side of the room. Hot air leaves through the top vent, cool air gets pulled in from the shaded side, and the whole space cycles in a few minutes instead of just dumping hot air out one hole. The trick with these cheap builds is airflow path, not fan power. A single vent works but it fights itself when the door is shut. Two vents and you get a real cross breeze for maybe another 30 bucks in parts.
