One comment about my snare sound ruined my whole setup

Someone on here said my drum booth sounded like a cardboard box, and they were right. I pulled out the foam pads and hung two moving blankets at an angle last weekend, now I actually hear the crack instead of a thud. Anyone else get roasted into fixing something obvious they kept ignoring?
