Moved my little recording setup from the garage to under the back porch and the sound got worse, not better
I spent about $220 on moving my gear out back to a covered spot under the porch last month, thinking the open air would kill the boxy echo I kept getting in the garage. Turns out the low ceiling and the metal roof turned the whole thing into a drum, and my drums sound like they're in a tin can on the playback. Did anyone else move a backyard setup outdoors and end up fighting the roof instead of the room?
