Foam vs. fiberglass panels, tested both in my 12x10 shed
Spent 3 months with cheap foam tiles from Amazon. Sound was okay but the low end was muddy. Swapped to 2 inch fiberglass panels from a local supplier, $180 total. Difference was night and day. Guitar tracks actually sit clean now. Anyone else make the switch and notice bass response improve?

The "muddy low end" thing is exactly what I dealt with in my garage studio. Foam just eats the high stuff and leaves the bass bouncing around all weird. Fiberglass was the fix for me too, and now my kick drum actually punches instead of just thumping.
