Finally beat my cable tangles with twist ties from bread bags

For months my mic cables and power cords were a mess in the corner of my backyard studio. I kept tripping over them during recordings. Last weekend I grabbed a handful of those little plastic twist ties from old bread bags and looped each cable separate. Now I just grab the one I need and it doesn't turn into a knot. Anyone else use random household stuff for studio organizing?

I bet nobody's mentioned using those little cable clips that come on new phone charger boxes. You know the ones, the thin plastic piece that holds the cord flat against the box? I save every single one of them. They stick right on a desk or wall with their own adhesive and hold one cable perfectly. Way better than twist ties for stuff you plug and unplug all the time.

The little clips from phone boxes are genius. I hoard those things like they're gold. Stick one on the side of my nightstand for my charging cable and another on my desk for my mouse cord. Twist ties work for long term storage but they're a pain if you're constantly plugging stuff in and out. Those clips just hold it right there ready to go.
