Contractor said my studio floor didn't need a vapor barrier, 6 months later I regret it
A local builder in Portland told me skip the vapor barrier under my backyard studio slab to save $400. Now the laminate flooring is buckling in the corner near the door after a wet spring. Anyone else trust a contractor's shortcut and end up costing yourself way more?

Man, same thing happened to me last year. Cheap move cost me triple later.
