Changed my mind about acoustic foam after the ceiling panel fell

My foam panel from Amazon dropped right onto my mic during a voiceover session last Tuesday. I yanked the rest down and spent $80 on rockwool panels instead. Has anyone else had those foam adhesive strips fail on them?

Oh, I heard a guy on the radio talking about this exact thing. He said he bought a cheap water heater and the thing leaked all over his basement six months later. Now he's paying double for a good one plus the cleanup costs.
