Built a 10x12 studio in my backyard last June, and the first rainstorm showed me every mistake at once

Water came in under the door sill and pooled right where my table saw sits, so I spent that Saturday with towels and a caulk gun instead of working on the cabinet I had planned. Anyone else learn their drainage lesson the hard way, and did a French drain actually fix it for you?
