Backyard studio use causing a rift with my partner
He sees it as extra storage, I view it as my creative space. We're stuck on this basic split. How have you worked out similar stuff?

Right, you said storage is for keeping things and creative space is for making things. What stuff does he need to store? Is it like, long term family stuff, or just extra tools? Knowing if it's permanent or temporary could change the whole talk.

Calling it a 'basic split' might not show the real problem. Storage is for keeping things, creative space is for making things, and those are different aims. Have you talked about what you both could give up to find a middle ground?
