Walked into a neighbor's garage and saw 6 lawnmowers lined up like a showroom

I stopped by my neighbor Dave's place last Saturday to borrow a socket wrench, and his garage looked like a lawnmower museum. He had everything from a 1985 John Deere push mower to a zero-turn Toro that still had the price tag ($3,200) taped to the handle. When I asked him why, he just shrugged and said 'I rescue them from curbs on trash day.' Has anyone else stumbled on a weird backyard or garage collection like that?

Is he actually fixing them up or just hoarding them? Because six mowers sounds like a lot of lawn equipment for one person, even if you do rescue them. How much space does one guy need for grass cutting anyway?
