Tried a push mower after using a riding mower for 5 years in my sloped backyard

My backyard in Nashville has this annoying slope near the fence line where my riding mower kept slipping. Switched to an old push reel mower for just that section last month. It actually cut cleaner and I didn't have to worry about tipping over. The trade off is it takes me an extra 20 minutes but my grass looks way healthier now. Has anyone else tried mixing mower types for tricky spots?

Man that reel mower actually sharpens the grass blades instead of tearing them!
