Rant: My $30 shop vac vs my buddy's $500 one for clearing leaves

His fancy one clogged every 5 minutes, my cheap little flathead nozzle just scooped everything up from the gravel. The price difference is just for the name I swear. Anyone else have a basic tool that just works better than the expensive version?

Holy crap, that's wild! I gotta say I'm shocked your buddy dropped 500 bucks on a shop vac just for leaves. That thing must have some serious suction or something, but if it's clogging every five minutes, what's the point? My old Craftsman with a flat nozzle does the same thing for like sixty bucks and I've never had that problem. People get caught up in the name and the horsepower numbers, but real world results are what matter.
