My garage fridge died after 9 years, now I'm overthinking the replacement

Last Sunday I walked out to grab a cold one and the compressor was just humming dead, everything inside was lukewarm. It was one of those old Frigidaire models from 2016, and I figured it would outlive me honestly. I'm looking at the new energy efficient ones but they're all $800 plus, and I keep wondering if I should just fix the old one instead since parts are only like $120. Anyone else had to make this call, and did you regret dropping the cash on a new unit?

Nine years is actually pretty decent for a fridge these days... seems like most appliances are built to tap out right around the 8 to 10 year mark now. You could drop the $120 on parts and gamble on another year or two, but that's kind of how it always goes with older units, one thing breaks and then the next thing follows. I've watched too many people sink money into old appliances only to end up buying new anyway, so if the new one fits your budget, I'd just rip the band-aid off.
