I finally picked rubber stall mats over epoxy for my garage floor

Went with 4x6 stall mats from Tractor Supply ($45 each on sale) instead of epoxy because I drop tools all the time and didn't want cracks. The rubber smell took about a week to fade but my knees thank me when I'm working on the car. Anyone else made this switch and regretted it or loved it?

Yeah but how often are you really dropping tools that it's worth all that rubber smell.

Is dropping tools really that big of a deal though? I mean unless you're throwing them at the floor on purpose, most tools just bounce or make a scratch. You're acting like epoxy is glass that shatters if you sneeze on it. My buddy has had epoxy in his garage for three years and he's dropped plenty of stuff without a single crack. Seems like a lot of money and waiting for the smell to go away just to avoid a problem that might not even happen.
