Hot take: a $6 coil of trimmer line beat my $40 spool, and string trimmer guys should know
Spent the morning clearing the fence line out back, you know the spot where the weeds win every summer. I had a fancy spool of line that came with the trimmer, paid around $40 for the big refill. Kept snapping it. Three times in one afternoon. So I dug out the cheap coil my neighbor left me, the plain round stuff, and that thing lasted the whole job without a single break. Same thickness, near as I can tell. Turns out the pricey one was just thinner than the label let on. Gonna weigh them on the kitchen scale before I buy again. What line do you guys actually trust for thick weeds?
