Help me fix my garage workbench that's wobbly as heck
I built this 8-foot workbench in my garage in Phoenix last spring and it's been rocking side to side ever since I loaded it up with my welder and tools. Anyone got a trick for bracing the legs without tearing the whole thing apart?

You said "rocking side to side" which makes me think you might be looking at this wrong. Is it actually the legs wobbling or is the floor in your garage uneven? Phoenix garages have those smooth concrete floors that look flat but usually have a slight slope for drainage. If the floor is the problem you could shim the low legs with some steel plates or even stack some washers under there. That might be way easier than adding cross bracing to the whole frame. Your welder alone is probably 50 pounds or more and that weight will magnify any little imperfection in the floor. Just a thought but maybe put a level on the bench top and check before you start cutting wood.

And that slope might be enough to make the whole thing wobble once you put your welder and a big piece of metal on it.
