Update: a ranger at Glacier told me the Highline has 3 bear cans worth of food traffic a day in July
I figured maybe 40 people hike that stretch daily, but she pulled out the backcountry permit log and it was way more. Anyone else plan around permit numbers like this or just show up and hope?
