Vent: My probe slip almost sparked a big problem in the cockpit

I was testing a circuit for the flight displays on a King Air yesterday. The probe from my multimeter slid and nearly bridged two terminals on the back of the unit. One quick zap there could have cooked a whole stack of expensive avionics. Double-check your tool placement before you poke around, right?

Yeah and it's not just big stuff either. I see it all the time when someone's carrying too many grocery bags and almost drops the eggs, or when they're distracted on their phone and walk right past their turn. That split second you mentioned adds up across a whole day. Makes you wonder how many near misses we actually have before one turns into a real problem.

Man, those close calls really get the heart going. The what-if is the scary part.

Totally see that kind of thing everywhere now lol. Notice how people just jam their phone charger in without looking and almost bend the prongs, or toss their keys on the counter right next to a full glass of water. That same split second of not paying attention is all it takes. Your story just shows it can happen with way higher stakes. Makes me want to slow down with the simple stuff too.
