Spent 6 hours chasing a phantom voltage drop on a G1000 system
It was a simple transponder check on a Cessna 172, but the unit kept powering down intermittently. I checked every connector and ground point I could find, and it turned out to be a tiny, almost invisible crack in a power wire inside the main harness bundle near the firewall. What's the weirdest spot you've ever found a hidden wire fault?

Man, that's brutal. Those hidden breaks inside a bundle are the absolute worst to track down. I once found one under some heat shrink that looked perfect from the outside.

Those hidden breaks inside a harness are the worst. Hours of your life gone, all for a tiny crack.

Yeah, those hidden breaks are a special kind of headache. I've had good luck with a careful wiggle test on the whole harness while the system is live and acting up.
