Question about handling sleep with weekly shift changes
I work avionics at a cargo hub and our shifts switch every seven days. My sleep pattern is totally off, and I feel groggy on the job. What do you guys do to stay sharp? Any tips for adjusting or bringing this up with the boss?

Seriously, weekly shift changes? That sounds brutal. I can't believe they make you flip your sleep schedule that often. No wonder you feel groggy. I tried sticking to a routine when I had weird hours, but it's hard. Maybe talk to your boss about a more stable schedule if possible.

Ugh, "sleep pattern is totally off" is putting it lightly. I worked rotating retail shifts and it wrecked me (I basically lived on melatonin gummies for a year, not great). Blackout curtains and a super strict bedtime routine helped a little.
