Dropped $180 on a tricked out headset in Tulsa and the ANR just made my ears ring more
Bought one of those fancy noise cancelling headsets about 6 weeks ago. Sales guy at the shop in Tulsa swore it would save my hearing on the ramp. Turns out the ANR cut the low engine drone but pumped up this weird high pitch whine instead. Wore it for one full shift during a pitot static check and had a headache by lunch. Tried adjusting the gain and swapping ear seals, no luck. Now it sits in my locker and I'm back to my old $40 pair. So what do you all run for ramp noise, foamies or something else that actually works?
