For years I would wave off the finance guy when he started talking extended coverage because I figured it was all a scam. Then my transmission blew on my 2019 Silverado at 61,000 miles and the quote came back at $4,800, right after my factory warranty had run out. Now I make them walk me through the deductible and what shops I can actually use before I sign anything, and I want to know if anyone here has actually filed a claim that got paid without a fight.
