Torque wrench calibration, I had it backwards for 6 years
I always stored my click type torque wrench at 10 lb-ft thinking it released tension. A Snap-on rep at a shop in Akron told me to store it at full scale, something about the spring binding. It was off by 15% on a flywheel bolt job last month. Anybody else get this wrong for way too long?
