Threw away $250 on a cheap scan tool, should've known better

Bought one of those no-name OBD2 scanners off Amazon last month to save cash. It kept giving me a bogus cylinder 3 misfire code, so I replaced the coil pack for nothing. After two trips back and forth with the parts store, my buddy let me borrow his Autel and it flagged a bad fuel injector right away. Anyone else get burned by those budget scanners or am I the only dummy?

ugh tell me about it! i literally watched a youtube video last week where the guy tested like 5 cheap ones and they all gave different codes for the same car lol. you're def not the only one, these things are basically glorified guessers.
