Pro tip: My dad told me to soak that rusty bolt in Coke for three hours and it actually worked
Had a 2004 Silverado with a seized caliper bracket bolt. Couldn't budge it with a breaker bar. My old man said, 'Just pour a can of Coke on it and wait.' I wrapped a rag around it, soaked it, and left it. Came back after lunch. Bolt came right out with a regular ratchet. Felt like a hack, but saved me from snapping it off. Anyone got other weird tricks for rusted parts that actually work?

Yeah I used to be a PB Blaster snob too but honestly this actually works.

Hold up. Soaking a bolt in soda is just gonna leave a sticky mess that attracts ants and dirt later. All that sugar and acid does more harm than good, especially on anything you gotta touch again down the road. A proper penetrating oil like PB Blaster or a 50/50 mix of ATF and acetone works way faster and doesn't leave crud behind. Why risk a half-baked fix when the real stuff costs the same as a can of Coke?
