My diagnostic tool misled me on a simple repair
It showed a faulty sensor, but a wire connection was loose. Now I verify with a multimeter first.

Actually, see it a bit different. Those fancy screens are just another tool, not a replacement for knowing the basics. A bad reading doesn't mean the tool itself is useless, it just means you start there and then do the old school checks with your multimeter. It's all part of the same process. Blaming the diagnostic feels like getting mad at a really detailed map because you still have to look out the window for the final turn. They save a ton of time pointing you in the right direction, even if they're not perfect every single time.

Noticed this happens everywhere now. We put too much trust in the fancy screen instead of checking the basics first. My phone's weather app says rain while the sun's out my window, same kind of blind trust in a system. Makes you double guess every reading you get from a machine.
