Just realized my $80 borescope camera was a total game changer
Honestly, I used to hate chasing down noises inside dashes and door panels. This little camera saved me like two hours last week diagnosing a blend door actuator behind a glove box. Anyone have a favorite brand for these now?

Is it really that big of a deal though? I borrowed a friend's once and it was just okay. Half the time the picture was fuzzy or the cord got stuck. It feels like another tool to buy and then lose in the bottom of a toolbox. Maybe for a really bad job, but most of the time I can figure it out with a light and my ears.

You said it was a total game changer, but honestly, that's an UNDERSTATEMENT. It completely changes how you approach hidden problems. I can't imagine working without one now.

Read somewhere that mechanics and HVAC guys swear by these things for finding hairline cracks in cylinder heads or leaky vacuum lines that make zero noise. Saw a video where a guy found a pinhole in an evaporator coil with one, saved him from pulling the whole unit apart blind. The fuzzy picture thing is real with cheap ones though, gotta spend a bit to get one that actually works.
