Honestly, after 3 years of struggling with that weird electrical gremlin on 2010 F-150s, I finally traced it to a corroded ground behind the passenger kick panel last week.

Tbh, I just kept a log of every symptom and voltage drop, and the fix was literally cleaning a single G110 connector with a wire brush and dielectric grease, so has anyone else found a weird spot for a bad ground on that generation?

Man, that reminds me of a weird one on some older Rams. The ground for the whole dash cluster was bolted to the back of the block, right above the starter. Starter heat would cook the connection over the years. You'd get flickering gauges and no-start conditions that made zero sense until you found that single crispy wire.

That ground strap location was a real head scratcher.

And don't even get me started on the Ford trucks where the ground wire runs through the tailgate hinge. One rusty pivot pin and your trailer lights start doing their own thing.
