Called BS on fuel injector cleaner for years...

Finally tried a can of Techron on my 2008 Taurus after noticing a rough idle. 270,000 miles and that thing smoothed right out after one tank. I've been wrong this whole time. Any of you seen a difference with the concentrated stuff vs the regular bottle?

2008 Taurus with 270k, that's impressive. I bet the concentrated stuff matters more on high-mileage engines because it actually cleans the injector tips instead of just the fuel system. Techron's PEA concentration is higher in the big bottle, which might explain why it worked when the cheap stuff never did.

Man, that reminds me of my buddy Mike. He had this old 2000 F-150 with like 230k on it and it was stumbling real bad on cold starts. He tried all those little bottles of cleaner from the dollar store and nothing changed. Then his mechanic told him to get the big bottle of Techron, the one with the high PEA. Mike dumped it in before a long highway trip and said within like 50 miles it was idling smoother than it had in years. He swore the thing was gonna blow up, but that stuff actually saved it for another winter.
