Hit 250,000 miles on my 2004 Corolla last Tuesday and it honestly snuck up on me
I was driving home from a night shift on I-35 outside Waco when the odometer rolled past 250,000. I pulled into a Buc-ee's just to take a picture of it because I could not believe the number. Bought this car in 2011 with 88,000 miles on it, so I have put 162,000 of those on myself over 14 years. The weird part is nothing dramatic happened to celebrate it, no breakdown, no warning lights, just a number that made me sit in the parking lot for a minute. What has kept it alive is boring stuff: oil every 5,000 miles, timing belt at 200k, and finally replacing the original struts last spring. Curious what mileage other people are at and what repair finally made you give up on a high mileage car.
