Chased a coolant leak for 2 days, it was just a loose cap the whole time
My 2012 Civic started overheating near the freeway exit in Reno, so I replaced the thermostat, then the water pump, and even the radiator hoses over a weekend. After $180 in parts and two full afternoons, a buddy pointed at the reservoir cap and it fixed itself in 30 seconds. Anyone else have a 'simple fix' that made you feel like an idiot?

Did you at least keep the old parts to return? Cause that kinda sounds like you were looking for problems instead of just checking the basics first.
