Tried that newfangled waterborne primer on a Ford F-150 yesterday
I've always stuck with solvent because the old-timers swore by it, but the waterborne laid down so smooth I didn't even have to sand between coats. Has anyone else had better luck with it on aluminum panels?

Gimme a break, it laid down smooth on one truck, not exactly a miracle.

One smooth truck don't mean much when the next load turns into a nightmare. Ive had paint lay down perfect on a dented panel and then orange peel on a clean one same batch same temp everything. You gotta check your reducer and hardener ratios for each job not just assume one mix fits all. Also watch your gun distance if you get too close it fisheyes if too far it dries before it hits.
