Choosing between a new frame machine or a bigger paint booth last year
Our shop in Tacoma had some extra cash and I had to pick between a new frame rack or a larger paint booth. I went with the frame machine because we were seeing more cars with hidden damage from minor hits. It cost about $45,000 but it let us take on bigger jobs right away. Now we can fix things we used to have to turn away. What's a bigger upgrade you've made that paid off fast?

Our old alignment rack finally gave out last year, forcing a similar choice.

Remember my buddy's shop had their lift fail right in the middle of a busy week. They ended up leasing a new one with a service plan because the downtime was killing them. It was the only way they could keep the bay open and the cash flowing.
