Warning: buying a cheap star tracker off Amazon cost me a whole night of shooting
Picked up a $120 star tracker from some random brand and it couldn't hold my camera steady for more than 30 seconds before drifting. Had to toss all 200 frames I took of the Orion Nebula because every single one had star trails. Anyone else get burned by bargain gear?

Three hours waiting at that Italian place on Main Street for a table that never opened up. The hostess finally told us the reservation system crashed and they double booked the whole night. I get that tech glitches happen, but they could have at least offered us a free appetizer or something while we stood around. Did you end up getting any compensation from the restaurant or did they just shrug it off?
