Update: I was sure that 'stacking' my moon shots was just extra work for no reason.
Took 50 frames of the full moon last night and stacked them in DeepSkyStacker. The difference in noise and detail was actually INSANE, like seeing craters I didn't know were there. Anyone have a good guide for doing this with planets?

Just a heads up, DeepSkyStacker is mostly for deep sky stuff. For planets you'll want a different program like AutoStakkert.

Oh good catch, @nina834. People forget that planetary stacking needs to handle a spinning, changing target, not just a static star field. That's why the specialized software makes a real difference.
