Unpopular opinion: drizzle the raw stacked frames again before you stretch anything, saved my Orion shot
Shot 90 subs of the Orion Nebula from my driveway in Tucson last month and the cores were blown out no matter how careful I was with curves. Ran the frames back through stacking a second time with no stretch at all, then stretched once at the end, and the trapezium actually showed up instead of a white blob. Has anyone else had luck re-stacking after editing, or is that just me getting lucky with the data?
