Tried stacking 60 exposures of the Orion Nebula and got a weird color shift in the core

I shot 60 frames at 30 seconds each last night from my backyard in Tucson, stacked them in DeepSkyStacker, and the core came out almost purple instead of the usual pink. On one hand I think it's just me needing better flats and darks, but on the other hand maybe the stacking algorithm is messing with the data. Has anyone else run into this kind of color weirdness after stacking a lot of subs?

Ugh, the purple core thing is so frustrating. It's happened to me before and I still haven't fully figured out the fix.

Hate that purple core issue, it drove me crazy too.
