Three hours to stack a single image because I forgot one setting
Took me four hours to realize my ISO was stuck at 6400 from a moon shot the night before. Every frame was blown out white and I just kept blaming the software. What's the longest you've gone chasing a problem that was right in front of you?

Lol I swear half of photography is just fixing the mistakes we caused ourselves and pretending we didn't. It's like when you spend an hour looking for your phone while it's literally in your hand. That same blindness happens with settings too, you get so focused on the fancy stuff like stacking or blending and forget the basic stuff like ISO or white balance. My buddy spent two days troubleshooting a weird color cast in his astro photos and it turned out his camera was stuck on tungsten white balance from a portrait session three weeks earlier. Big pattern I see is we all get too smart for our own good sometimes, overthinking the complex stuff while the simple answer is right there. Nature of the hobby I guess, you learn the hard way or you don't learn at all lol.

Exactly, I once spent two hours fixing a lens flare that was just a smudge on my phone camera lens.
