The 2am cloud gap trick for moon shots
I kept missing the good moon detail because of thin haze, so I started checking the satellite loop on Clear Outside and waiting for that tiny clear patch to pass over. Last week in Tucson it gave me a 4 minute window around 2am, and I finally caught the terminator line sharp. Anyone else time their shots around passing cloud gaps instead of just waiting for a full clear night?

Doesn't that 4 minute window feel like winning a tiny lottery? I've done the same thing for the moon, and honestly the patience makes that one sharp shot so much sweeter.
