That time I spent a whole afternoon on a single moon shot
I was trying to stack some lunar photos from a couple of weeks ago and kept getting these weird halos around the craters. Spent like 4 hours messing with the alignment settings in Registax, thinking I was doing something wrong. Turned out my tripod had shifted just a tiny bit between frames, maybe a millimeter, and that was enough to ruin the whole stack. Finally fixed it by just deleting the first 10 frames and using the rest. Has anyone else had a tiny setup wobble wreck a whole session like that?

Funny you mention tripod wobble, same thing happened to me but with planetary shots. I was chasing Jupiter for like two hours, adjusting the tracking, and it turned out my neighbor's kid was bouncing a basketball next door and the vibration was going through the concrete patio right into my mount. Deleted the whole session and moved the setup to the grass, worked fine. Those tiny shifts will absolutely kill you.
