My new star tracker just died under a perfect dark sky in Joshua Tree

It was working fine for 30 minutes, then the motor just quit and left my camera trailing. Anyone know a good repair shop in Southern California?

That's the worst kind of astrophotography luck.

Man, "worst kind of astrophotography luck" is right. I used to think gear failures were just random bad breaks, but a total shutdown like that in perfect conditions changed my mind for good. It feels like the tracker saw that dark sky and just gave up on life. Did you check if it's still getting power from the battery?

Ugh, that's brutal, and @lee352 is right about the luck! Try AstroGizmos in San Diego, they fixed mine fast.
