My neighbor's 8 inch dob made me question my $1,200 astrophotography rig

Last Saturday in Cleveland I was setting up my whole imaging train, guiding camera, autofocuser, the works, when my neighbor rolled out his old 8 inch dobsonian and just started looking at Saturn. He said "you've been out here for 45 minutes and I've seen two planets already, what are you waiting for?" and it honestly hit me that I haven't just looked through an eyepiece in over a year. Anyone else ever feel like they're so busy capturing and processing that they forget why they got into this hobby in the first place?

Stick a cheap eyepiece in that thing and remember why you started.
