My dew heater gave out right before the Orion Nebula was at its peak
It happened last Tuesday around 2 AM, and my lens fogged up completely in under ten minutes. I had to pack it in and just watch the sky with my eyes for the rest of the night. Anyone have a reliable brand they've used for a couple of seasons without issues?

Wait, it fogged up in under ten minutes? That's crazy fast, I've never seen it get that bad that quick. My old heater died last winter and it took at least a half hour for the view to get totally ruined. You must have had some serious humidity. I've been using the same Kendrick heater for three years now and it's been solid, even on those really wet nights. Just make sure you get the right size for your lens.

Actually, that sounds pretty normal for a really cold night. My gear fogs up fast all the time, even with a heater. Maybe some brands just can't keep up.
