My cousin told me my star photos look like 'fuzzy white dots' and it kinda stung. How do I make them more impressive for non-astronomy people?

This whole thing reminds me of how people treat hobbies they don't understand. It's like when someone shows you their stamp collection and you just see little pieces of paper. The trick is always giving people a way in. My brother spends hours fixing old cars and nobody cares until he shows them the before and after photos. That's the same thing here. Give people something they already get, like a tree or a building, and suddenly the dots connect to something bigger. People just need a familiar anchor point before they can appreciate the rest.

Adding something in the foreground totally changes the game. I put a cool looking tree or a fence line in front of my star shots and people get it way more. It gives scale and makes the sky look huge. They stop seeing just dots and see a whole scene. A silhouette against the stars always gets a better reaction from my friends.

It's like how a simple frame makes any picture feel more complete, right?
