Same with the Grand Canyon's scale.

My buddy swears the canyon photos @beth719 posted still don't do justice to how it really drops off.

Isn't it amazing how cameras can't quite capture it? The green is real, but it often looks flat and too bright in photos. Seeing the subtle movement and depth in person is what makes it truly magical.
