Galaxy shots were ruining my posture, so I changed my setup

Honestly, I used to get really achy after spending evenings with my telescope. Tbh, switching to a lighter tripod and taking breaks every hour has helped a ton. Ngl, how do you handle the physical side of astrophotography?

Yeah, but I found that gear changes are just a band-aid. What really helped me was adjusting my whole viewing posture over time. Now I barely feel it even after long sessions.

Spot a similar thing with new year's resolutions... everyone gets the latest app or gadget but the real fix is just doing the thing regularly. It's like we're wired for quick fixes instead of slow changes. My friend kept buying ergonomic chairs for back pain but only felt better after actually stretching every day. So yeah, posture over gear makes total sense... the hard part is sticking with the adjustment until it becomes normal. Feels like half the battle is just accepting that some solutions aren't instant.

Maybe it's just me, but I wonder if even good posture is still a band-aid solution for screens being kinda bad for us.
