Why does nobody talk about the 3 minute phone timer that got me out of my head at the grocery store
I used to spend 25 minutes walking the aisles at the Food Lion near my place, picking stuff up, putting it back, second guessing every choice. Last week I started setting a timer on my phone for 3 minutes before I walk in and decided I'd just grab whatever was on my list when it buzzed, no changes.
First trip I ended up with a weird combo of rice, two limes, and a bag of frozen peas. But it cut my whole trip down to 9 minutes and I didn't feel annoyed after. Did it again 4 times since and it still works.
Anyone else use some dumb little rule like this to stop overthinking the boring stuff?
