Vent: spent 6 years keeping my camping gear in a hot garage in Phoenix and ruined my stove fuel canisters
I always figured the garage was fine since it's shaded, but last month a buddy pointed at the rust rings on my canisters and asked how long they'd been sitting out there in 110 degree heat. Turns out the heat and temp swings had been slowly wrecking the seals and I never put it together, just thought I was hard on gear. How do you all store your fuel and gear when it's 110 outside, do you actually haul it inside or is there a smarter spot?
