Update: I picked the 'ask me anything' format over a regular Q&A for my site's help page
I run a small site for local plant care tips and needed a new help section. It was between a static FAQ list or a live 'ask me anything' box where people type questions. I went with the AMA box last Tuesday. It's been cool... people ask stuff I never thought to cover, like 'why are my basil leaves curling in Phoenix heat?'. Anyone else try something like this and get surprised by the questions?

Oh for sure, I mean you get the real weird stuff that way. It helps way more than a boring list.

That 'basil leaves curling' question is a perfect example. I once had someone ask me how to save a fern they'd accidentally left in a running dishwasher.

That fern in the dishwasher story is wild. I was all about the FAQ list before, but stuff like that makes me see the AMA box is way better.
