Took a weekend workshop at the local maker space and it totally changed my approach

I finally signed up for that 2-day metal fabrication class at MakerHive in Austin last month and honestly it was a game changer. The instructor showed me how to use a brake press properly and now I can bend my own brackets instead of ordering overpriced ones online. Has anyone else found that dropping $120 on a class saved them way more in the long run?

That class paid for itself after my first batch of custom brackets for sure.

Right there with you both. That class changed the whole game for me too - my first project after it was a total mess but I learned exactly what I was doing wrong each time. Best money I've spent in a long while (way better than that overpriced tool set I bought last year).
